The organisation JustforDads puts on fun events for dads or father figures to spend time with their children. I had been a volunteer on the Steering Group for JustforDads for four years when I was approached to successfully apply for the permanent position of Project Manager. I am the only permanent member of staff and my role encompasses all the aspects of running the project from marketing and promotion through to arranging the events and being the representative for JustforDads to network with the dads.

• Increased membership by 100% to 400 within 3 months of joining
• Turned around decreasing volunteer turnout to meetings
• Increased event frequency from 1 or 2 a month to 4
• Built award winning website and created the JustforDads brand
